On-Site Resilience Training
If exposure is part of the job, recovery has to become part of the system.
Your people know how to show up under pressure.
The harder part is what happens after the call, the incident, the shift, or the high-stakes moment is over.
Berkley Wellness brings practical nervous system regulation and recovery training on-site for departments, public safety teams, and other high-stress organizations.
Not just more information about stress. Practical tools people can actually use to recover from it.

High-stress work doesn't end when the moment does.
Repeated exposure to pressure, tragedy, conflict, and high-stakes situations adds up.
It can show up in sleep. Focus. Body tension. Decision-making. Relationships. And in how hard it is to shut work off when the shift is over.
Most people in demanding roles already understand that stress is part of the job.
What they don't always have is a practical way to work with what happens after the stress response has done its job.
This training is built to close that gap.
Built around your people. Not pulled off a shelf.
Every organization is different.
A police department doesn't operate like a healthcare team. A small public safety unit doesn't need the same format as a large organization. And a team responding after a critical incident may need something different from a group building proactive resilience skills.
Training is customized around your goals, location, group size, schedule, and readiness.
TRE® — Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises
TRE is a body-based practice developed by Dr. David Berceli. It uses a series of simple exercises to activate the body's natural tremor response.
Led by a Certified TRE Provider, participants learn a self-regulated practice designed to support stress recovery, reduce tension, and build greater flexibility in how the nervous system responds after sustained pressure.
A practical, body-based tool people can continue using beyond the training itself.
Neural Drift Meditation™
Neural Drift Meditation is a non-directive meditation practice built for people who don't need one more thing to perform correctly.
No concentration. No breath control. No trying to force the mind quiet.
Participants learn a simple practice that gives the mind and nervous system room to settle naturally — and something they can return to long after the training ends.
Less effort. More recovery.
Resilience After Critical Incidents
Critical incidents don't affect only the moment they happen.
This training gives teams practical education around stress exposure, recovery capacity, and the conditions that can support resilience and post-traumatic growth over time.
The focus is not simply on recognizing stress. It's on understanding how repeated exposure can affect individuals and organizations — and what supports stabilization and real recovery afterward.
Awareness matters. Recovery tools matter more.
“
As a law enforcement leader, I know how difficult it is for officers to leave the stress of the job behind at the end of a shift. One of the greatest challenges isn’t responding to critical incidents, it’s mentally transitioning from work to home. Berkley Wellness’s Neural Drift Meditation™ provides a practical solution. The technique is easy to learn, is extremely beneficial with just two sessions a day, and each session takes less than 15 minutes. Neural Drift Meditation is a realistic tool even with demanding schedules.
What makes this program especially valuable is that it gives officers a simple, repeatable way to decompress before crossing the threshold into their homes. That intentional reset helps reduce the tendency to carry work stress into family life, improving overall well-being, resilience, and relationships. I believe Neural Drift Meditation is an outstanding addition to any officer wellness program and a worthwhile investment for agencies committed to supporting the long-term mental health and performance of their personnel.
Assistant Chief Gary Lewis | Appleton Police Department
Meet John Berkley, NBC-HWC
Health & Wellness Coach | Certified TRE® Provider
My career has included military service, leadership in the high-stress hospitality industry, and almost two decades in law enforcement, where I retired as a Lieutenant with the Appleton Police Department.
I've seen what chronic stress and cumulative exposure can do — both in the people I served alongside and in myself.
As my department's Wellness Program Coordinator, I helped lead countywide peer support initiatives and served on the Outagamie County Chaplain Board, supporting first responders and their families.
That experience changed the question for me.
How do we help people recover — not just keep functioning?
I built this training around the same idea that runs through all of my work: people in high-stress roles need more than an understanding of stress. They need practical ways to recover from it.
Your people train for the hard moments.
They should have tools for what happens after them, too.
On-Site Resilience Training is built around your organization's people, pressure points, and goals — so the training is useful long after the session ends.
Let's build the right training for your team.

This training is designed for first responders, public safety teams, and other organizations whose people regularly work under sustained pressure, high-stakes conditions, conflict, tragedy, or critical incidents. The common thread is not the industry. It is the level of exposure and the need for practical ways to recover from it.
-
Training may include TRE® organizational training, Neural Drift Meditation™ training, Resilience After Critical Incidents education, or a combination of approaches depending on your organization’s goals. Formats can include introductory workshops, half-day or full-day trainings, and multi-session programs.
-
Yes. The training is built around your organization’s goals, location, group size, schedule, and readiness. There is not a one-size-fits-all program that gets dropped into every organization.
-
That depends on the training you choose, but the focus is always practical. Participants may learn tools for stress recovery, nervous system regulation, reducing tension, and building greater resilience under sustained pressure. The goal is to give people something they can continue using after the training — not simply more information about stress.

This training focuses on practical education around stress exposure, recovery capacity, and the conditions that support resilience and post-traumatic growth over time. It helps teams better understand how repeated exposure to difficult or critical incidents can affect individuals and the organization as a whole, while keeping the focus on stabilization and practical recovery strategies — not awareness alone.

Start with a conversation. We’ll talk through your organization, the people you’re supporting, what they’re exposed to, what you want the training to accomplish, and the format that may make the most sense.
