Individual Therapy
You are more than what brought you here.
Anxiety. Stress. Depression. Trauma. Grief. A difficult relationship. Family conflict. An experience you haven’t quite moved past. The expectations you carry for yourself or others. Or the places in your life where you question whether you are enough, if you matter, or if something needs to change.
Whatever brings you to therapy deserves attention.
But it doesn’t define you.
Individual therapy is a place for us to understand what you are experiencing, work through what still needs attention, and create tools, strategies, and choices in how you respond to yourself, your relationships, and your life.
A therapeutic fit that aligns with your goals.
The relationship you have with your therapist matters. You want to feel understood, comfortable, and able to be yourself unfilitered, while also feeling confident in the approach and direction of therapy.
My style is engaged, interactive, and highly personalized, with room for perspective, challenge, connection, and humor along the way.
15-minute consultation
Before scheduling your first therapy appointment, you will be provided with a complimentary 15-minute consultation.
This brief call gives you an opportunity to share what you are seeking, ask questions, and together we can determine whether my approach and services are a good fit for your needs.
Initial evaluation
60 minutes • $200
Our first session includes a comprehensive clinical assessment of your current symptoms and concerns, psychosocial history, relevant medical and mental health history, current functioning, and treatment goals.
Together, we begin developing a personalized treatment plan and identify the therapeutic approaches that best fit your clinical needs and goals.
Individual therapy
60 minutes • $200
Sessions focus on treating symptoms while also exploring emotional and behavioral patterns, past and current experiences, relationships, subconscious influences, and mind-body responses that may be contributing to your concerns.
Treatment may include strengthening emotional regulation and coping, processing unresolved experiences, changing maladaptive patterns, and developing healthier ways of responding.
Most clients begin weekly or biweekly, with frequency adjusted over time based on clinical needs and treatment goals. I view therapy as part of ongoing wellness, so treatment does not need to follow a predetermined end date.
Meet Linell Berkley, MSW, LCSW
Psychotherapist | EMDRIA Certified Therapist | Certified EME Practitioner
My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and highly individualized. Drawing from more than 20 years of clinical experience. I integrate evidence-based psychotherapy with experiential and mind-body approaches selected according to your history, current needs, and treatment goals.
Therapy is thoughtfully tailored to help you understand what underlies your symptoms, resolve what remains unfinished or unhealed, and create healthier ways of responding to yourself, your relationships, and the demands of your life.
Whole doesn’t mean everything feels easy.
You can love your life and still be struggling with part of it. You can be strong and still need support. You can understand why something affects you and still want it to affect you differently.
It can feel complicated. That does not make you too much.
Therapy is a space that can hold all of that.
You may be looking for a different kind of support.
Couples Therapy
For couples who want to communicate more effectively, understand what is happening behind the conflict, repair disconnection, and strengthen their relationship.
EMDR Intensive Therapy
Extended, personalized EMDR treatment when a specific experience, concern, or response may benefit from more focused therapeutic time.
EME Coaching
My separate, nonclinical coaching service centered around emotion, mind, energy, self-awareness, and intentional change.
Professional Referrals Welcome
I welcome referrals from therapists, physicians, and other professionals seeking individual psychotherapy for patients or clients experiencing trauma, anxiety, grief, stress, relationship concerns, unresolved experiences, or recurring emotional and behavioral patterns.
With written authorization, I am happy to collaborate with established providers when coordination would support the client’s treatment.

Yes. I see clients in person at Berkley Wellness in Appleton and through telehealth throughout Wisconsin.
Out-of-State Care Coming Soon: Wisconsin has officially joined the Social Work Licensure Compact. While the national system is still being built, we anticipate being able to legally treat clients outside of Wisconsin once multistate licenses launch in mid-to-late 2027.

EMDR therapy may be incorporated into individual therapy when clinically appropriate. I also offer a separate EMDR Intensive Therapy Program for people who may benefit from extended, focused therapeutic time.

I always encourage potential clients to take time finding the right therapist. Therapists have different personalities, styles, and approaches, and what feels like a great fit for one person may not feel right for another.
That is one of the reasons I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation. It gives us an opportunity to talk, ask questions, discuss what you are looking for, and determine together whether working together feels like the right fit.
Let’s start the conversation.
