Therapy or Coaching: Which Is Right for You?

Therapy may include:

  • Individual or couples therapy

  • Mental health assessment and treatment

  • EMDR and trauma-focused work

  • Support for anxiety, depression, grief, PTSD, and significant emotional distress

  • Exploration of emotional, relational, and developmental patterns

Therapy is generally focused on healing, resolution, and psychological well-being.

EME Coaching

EME Coaching is a nonclinical, psychoeducational approach centered on emotion, mind, and energy. It is designed for individuals who are functioning well but feel blocked, disconnected from themselves, or unable to create the changes they consciously want.

EME Coaching may support:

  • Identifying limiting beliefs, hidden rules, and recurring patterns

  • Exploring the root of what is keeping you stuck

  • Recognizing and releasing energetic blocks

  • Reconnecting with your authentic self, values, and purpose

  • Create greater alignment between what you desire and how you live

Separate Services, Clear Roles

EME Coaching and Health & Wellness Coaching do not diagnose or treat medical or mental health conditions and are not a substitute for care from a licensed healthcare professional.

To maintain clear ethical and professional boundaries, Linell does not provide psychotherapy and EME Coaching to the same person. Once a professional relationship begins with Linell in either role, the client will not later transition into Linell’s other service and will be provided with referral options as appropriate.

Not Sure Where to Begin?

We would be happy to help you determine whether therapy, EME Coaching, or Health & Wellness Coaching would be a good fit.
